The short version: this site sets no cookies, loads no analytics, and every calculator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is transmitted anywhere.
What the calculators do with your input
Nothing. The arithmetic runs in JavaScript on your device. Inputs are not sent to a server, not logged, and not stored — closing the tab discards them.
This is a design choice, not an oversight. A tool that asks for the dimensions of your house should not be phoning home.
What the server sees
Like any web server, the host records the request: the page requested, the time, and the IP address that requested it. Those logs exist for security and are retained by the hosting provider under their policy. They are not linked to anything you type into a calculator, because nothing you type reaches the server.
What is not on this site
- No analytics scripts — not Google Analytics, not Plausible, not anything.
- No advertising networks.
- No third-party fonts. The type is your system's own.
- No social widgets, embedded videos or tracking pixels.
- No cookies of any kind, so there is no consent banner to dismiss.
Outbound links
Some pages link to manufacturers and to reference organisations. Those sites have their own policies, and following a link takes you to a place this policy does not cover. Links to retailers are marked and carry a disclosure on the affiliate disclosure page.
Children
This site is a reference for building projects and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.
Changes
If this policy changes, the change will be noted on the corrections page like any other substantive edit. Given the architecture — static pages, no scripts — there is very little that could change without rebuilding the site.
